Sync issues?
Sync issues?
I've had to resync ingame at least 12 times tonight, the later of which caused me to die while pvping.
Is this just my ISP, or is anyone experiencing issues like this?

its when you try to run and cast.You need a resync key in razor, it's under the misc section in hotkeys.

Yes Kefka, this happens to me constantly; more than I've ever experienced on other RunUO shards. Resynch macro is a must -- I imagine you already have one, though.

I've been looking over the code, trying to find a way to do an automatic resynch; but I'm having a hard time seeing how this can happen unless your running software that's ignoring movement reject packets, such as adrenaline (which is not allowed on the shard).
Can you please post your client version and Razor version?
I have tried to reproduce this and have not been able to, by continuing to try to run while casting.

I paged the other day because I had just got killed in statloss because of this.. The sync issue occurs for me every single time I play.
Client Version: 5.0.8.3
Razor Version: 1.0.12
A friend was watching me pvp and made note that I do tend to "keep running" while casting.. so I don't know if that is the issue or not. I cannot say for certain that it's happened directly in response to this (seems silly, if so because I've always done this and didn't have this problem on other RunUO servers).
What I can say for certain is that is happens frequently.. all the time.
I've tried 2 different client versions (can't recall the other one I had).
Even more annoying (this has been a very recent related issue), when I resync (razor hotkey) oftentimes now I freeze after the resync (can re-orientate my character, just can't move), which then requires a SECOND resync.
Really looking forward to getting this one resolved for me.

This is really strange. If you continue to move, it's becuase you're not reciving, or the client is ignoring the movement reject packets, which do include information on there your clharacter is supposed to be.CmaN wrote:I paged the other day because I had just got killed in statloss because of this.. Your razor version and client version is the same as mine; however I've not been able to reproduce this problem myself on a regular character.
What is your ping to the shard?

When I desync, I'm a single tile off.. so I'll try to make it through a door or be running somewhere, and I know that if my character stops, then I am actually running into something. Then, I resync my client which fixes me being a tile off, and then sometimes it requires a second resync to actually let me move.
Move of the time it's 1 tile.. ill be running past a house sometimes and appear to run through the house.

I had resynch issues on Angel Island often but I have not experienced it here at all.
I use 5.0.1j and razor 1.0.12.

I never had a problem with synching issues until recently. I'm wondering if it was something from the last patch that makes them more frequent?
