You really want to weed out the undesirables on here. Make it so that they have to either get jobs or be nice enough to their parents that they will pick up their tab. Everything has a cost, Someone is paying for a server in texas, and its only a matter of time before someone gets sick of laying down cash so that they can constantly read the caps locked grievances and shenanigans of 14 year olds.

i think you would lose a large portion of your player base. The only reason I am playing here is because its free. With a tight budget I just dont want to shell out 10 bucks a month right now for a game.

Unfortunately Chris many people, though they could afford it, see a free shard as a place they can wander around and be a butthole and not give anything back monetary or in game.

However, if you would like to direct the topic regarding "less desirable players" on the shard. I always was fond of the "one IP active per computer at a time" policy.

-This would make ghosting and other multiclienting issues alot less frequesnt.

-Alot of immature players are (usually) kids who have at best, one computer of their own. With "one IP active per computer at a time" policy, they would have to play on their one account, or tie up mommy and daddy's computer to run another account.

simple you can not charge to play .. your not osi .. and thats why we have free shards .. and with a shard like this, that is era acc. you can say give a new script (necro one shard i played on) that would be worth buying but yet ruin game for what we are all here for .. honestly we all have to ask .. can i give this 5 dollars or am I going to spend it on another Mc'd's combo that really does nothing for me but satif. the same craving you have for UO..........
