Role of potion in 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 Crafted,Pots&Poisons tourney

It's fine as it is. Dexers dominate it's just everyone who plays one generally sucks at the game.

Again resource limitation would affect every char equally.Homie wrote:Yes it is but the consequences are nearly not noticeable for mages while a dexxer is more sensitive for the stam drain.son wrote: How is this not a double edged sword? You realize hally swings are based on stamina?
And effectively any dexxer lives by the damage he deals.
Less stamina - less damage and hits - less disturbs -> death.
Id even argue against infinite food in no pot tourney.

plz dont get me wrong
i dont want to say this is a bad idea at all but really changing all tourney mods? is this necessary?
rather a crafted tourney mod (if im not mistaken there were recently 2 crafted tourneys sheduled very close to each other) - or any other mod - and replace it with the "real - mod".
Another tourney setup adds something to the game.

You can restock in tournies now. But if you are in the tournie, and you win your match last in that tier, then you get ported to your next match immediately. Thus if you had to restock, you would have no chance to do so.
I like the rules how they are. Both mages and dexers can abuse an unlimited potion, tho I think dexers get more advantage from it. You know what your facing and you adjust accordingly.

Expots are cheap and are the only kind that should be restricted in tourneys. Everything else is fair IMHO. Curing is easy and pretty much the only way for a Swords/Fencing dexxer to kill a wizard. This is why Maces drain stamina. Because Mini-Heal = Over 130 points of healed damage with plenty of Mana left over to kill you.

Well from what I gather most of the tournaments here are favored for mages. So to be honest to me this is not a problem since I am a dexxer, I am just going to adapt and make a hally mage and just use it for tournaments like that. Problem solved.

This is incorrect.
The no pots standard 7x tourney is geared towards mages because they do the best under those conditions.
But that is not the only tourney we have, not by a long shot.
We have crafted weps + pots tournies. (One that a dexer just won the other day)
And we have magic + pots tournies. These are obviously geared towards dexers.
And we have 2v2 with the same rules as well.
This discussion was about the effect of free use on these tournaments.

I hate to say it but maybe introduce a non free use mode tournament maybe on Tuesdays or Wednesdays? This tournament should disable unlimited food eating function too. Maybe one with magic weps and one without (Tue, Wed?)
Have the last battle of each round enjoy a 2 min restock break. I am fairly certain resource limited fights will hardly reach SD
And I suggest again that the only resource limit be what you can carry, 125 items and 390 stones or more if you drink a gs.

I'd like to expand this to include trapped pouches. I had about 15 going in and used em up real quick. Mage didn't seem to run out of mana so every time I exploded a new one I'd get paralyzed instantly. Add to this expo pots are limited and I've got almost no way out, other than casting on myself, which I can't do if he instantly paralyzes me.
It's unbalanced and it should be limited in all aspects. What you bring in should be used up and if you die, you keep whats on you, no looting or anything, but you use up your freaking stuff.
It's too unrealistic to have unlimited anything. Even regs. You know why matches GO to sudden death? No one runs out of anything....
Maybe you could like not have anyone bring anything and supply everyone with bags of 100 regs, 50 of each pot, or whatever you could think of, but having it unlimited is ridiculous and favors tank mages over all, just like the majority of the mechanics on the shard.

Lor if you're para'd just hold down your clumsy spell key and it'll instantly cast it when you become unpara'd. Then equip your weapon and go back to dexing, if he paras u drop it on yourself and recast.

Word, thanks for the advice. I'll try that next time. My point though is that some items are expendable while others are infinite and it just causes imbalance. I think we need to sit here and weigh the pros and cons of everything and decide what needs to be done, because the system as it is is biased.
