Sunday Night Tournaments 8/17 -- Updated with results

Post by Kylock »

This coming Sunday I will host two tournaments.
One tournament will be for mages & tank mages, the other will be for dexxies/warriors.

The first tournament fight will start at 5:00 pm eastern time - August 17th, Sunday afternoon.
I will be gating from West Britain Bank starting at 4:15 pm. If you're red, private message me asap.

The location is undisclosed for now.

  • General Rules/Information:
  • There will be a 5k entry fee for both tournaments -- which will go to the winners reward.
  • No looting/spamming tolerated at all. Those who do so, will be killed.
  • Limited # of spectators allowed. Basically first come first serve --
cooperation is expected from you. Only recall reagents/runes allowed, you will be snooped.
  • No poisoned/magic weapons are allowed in either tournament.
  • No potions are allowed. We may change this, to let a limited number of refresh potions per fight.
  • Sudden Death: If a fight lasts longer than 10 minutes greater explosion potions will be randomly thrown into the ring every 10 seconds.
  • Rewards & Prizes:
-First Place: 75% Of Entry Fees
-Second Place: 20% of Entry Fees

First place in the mage tournament will receive 250 of each reagent
First place in the warrior tournament will receive a GM crafted colored dex suit & 1000 bandages.

  • Mage Tournament Qualifications:
  • Must not have more than 35 dexterity

    Warrior Tournament Qualifications:
  • Must not have more than 35 intelligence
  • No poisoning allowed at all
More qualifications, rules & information coming soon!

Thieves don't bother coming. Since spectators will only have recall regs/rune, you won't beable to steal anything anyways. Competitors and spectators will be in separate areas.

I was thinking maybe 3 to 5 -normal- refresh pots per fight.

You think 5 minutes is too short? Maybe 10 minutes then?

  • Tickets must be purchased before tournaments start.

Sadly, I have no internet (save at work) and so I won't be there. Which REALLY sucks. Otherwise, heck yeah I'd be in.

The tournament will be hosted on top of my tower. I'll be opening gates in Britain in about 25 minutes, or 4:30pm eastern

I took some razor videos of the fights, but they turned out jacked up, it showed me on the first floor of the tower while they were dueling on roof. Couldn't see any action :|

The tournament for the most part was a success.
I'll be hosting more in the near future.

Post/PM any feedback or suggestions.

Thanks
