Hail!

Post by Johnny London »

*dusts off his newbied robe*

Hail, T2A! It is me, Johnny London (of Pacific, 97-99, bard) and.. I don't know what the hell im doing! har!

I have a few questions regarding this server.

-Are there any guilds that will help me gain skill, etc?
-How long does it take to train up a bard?
-How is the 'PvP' scene?

Thank you.

Let's see...

Try the guild recruiting section of the forums to see if you get any takers. You don't really need help to make a bard other then the money needed for regs if you go bard/mage.

A bard doesn't take long at all. Only a couple days for prov, the rest depends on what skills you want accompanying that.

The PvP scene is... well I really don't take part so I can only tell you what I know from what people say. It's active within certain circles and the automated tournaments. I'm not sure you're going to have much success with your bard though.

In PvP?

Because at some point you run into skill cap. Bard skills don't help in tournies. Depending on where you're hunting, the PK just has to kill you before what you prov onto him gets him.

I'm not saying you won't bank gold, I just think that if you want in on the PvP you're going to wind up with a hally mage or dexer like others (maybe even stealth mage).

If you do well with the PvPers as a bard, do me a favor and write up a guide lol.

Some good guilds you might be interested in. UoH, K^A, eXm, there are others I can't really think of right now. Those are just a few good guilds that could help you out. I would suggest just asking someone to let you use their house and buy two horses, trap them three tiles apart then release them. Then just macro provo on the two horses and that is how I GMed when I started here.
