Re: safest way to sell harvested goods?
Some folks use house deeds, since the trade-in value for a house deed is 100% of the purchase value for the deed. In that case, you'll want to double-check the deed values prior to entering into the transaction. I haven't had the guts to see for myself if house deeds are blessed, but they seem to be the de facto replacement for checks here.
Many people won't even do business with you unless you place items on a vendor, especially big-ticket items, so you'll want to get a house and vendor as soon as possible.
Another option is to ask a mutually trusted player to act as a broker.
Finally, you can sell resources a little bit at a time. For example, you might split a transaction for 20k iron ingots into 10 transactions for 2k iron ingots.

I pretty sure house deeds are noob not blessed so don't be red and die with one before testing for yourself.

If you want to sell a bulk order of goods get a hold of GuardianKnight, Blackfoot, or Wise. They are the three biggest brokers here on this shard that can help you sell your goods, just give them a tip. Just make a selling thread in trading post for a large order or resources, someone will buy it eventually then contact one of the brokers and set up a meeting for the exchange. The person will give the broker all the gold, then you give the person all the resources, then the broker gives you all the gold once he gets all his stuff.

As stated by others, brokers are a great way of doing business--or dealing in bulk with reputable players.
House deeds stand in for checks here, despite complaints as to the validity of the method as era accurate; further on this topic, deeds are not stealable they are however lootable (or they were last time I checked, which was a over the summer when the deed changes first went in).

House deeds are not lootable unless you are a murderer. Accidentally verified this a couple of weeks ago.

Someone killed me but I didn't sweat it cause I thought I was good (was red at the time) and boom deed gone. Good thing was only a small though.Mantis Atlantis wrote:House deeds are not lootable unless you are a murderer. Accidentally verified this a couple of weeks ago.
