Sadly, there are some people that hasn't even tried the new variations and complain about the way that it used to be before this correction was made.Mikel123 wrote:Right Faust. Some things were changed from, for example, [8 * 1d5] to [1d5+1d5+1d5+1d5+1d5+1d5+1d5+1d5], which lowers the variance tremendously.

What is this so called learning curve you are speaking of? There is one and only one way to kill people 1v1. You prep an ebolt, wait for a decent hally hit, fast cast a second ebolt, hope you get some fast hally hits. During this time you pray your opponent doesn't run up to you and attack last spam you while mini healing or you will not kill them. For there to be a learning curve it would require there to be more than one way to kill people. Currently there are no "combos" to use on people. Poison and anything other than harm and ebolt are useless.Faust wrote:Here are too many people that expect you to cater to them just like those other shards or they're out. The learning curve for most is simply too hard.
This is an RPG so there is going to be dice rolling. You want all skill based then go play an FPS or something.Choppa X wrote: In 1v1 tournaments, two people who are equal in skill level will almost ALWAYS go to sudden death, where it comes down to hally hits and complete luck. Perhaps, this was the case back before you were banned until some things were fixed like spell interruptions, damage, etc... The people that fall victim to a double fast casted ebolt is typically those that aren't very good. The majority of the good pvper's don't fail to pull a greater heal off most of the time here. Sudden death needs to be removed as mentioned in my new proposal in suggestions & era accuracy forums that would require more skill than the current setup. The reason people will spam "in mani" compared to the field is that there is a plentiful never ending resource that makes it utterly pointless to not use the spell.Choppa X wrote:What is this so called learning curve you are speaking of?
