Drake taming
Drake taming
The skill required for taming drake is 95.1 as showing in wiki.uosecondage.com, my taming skill is 95.6 but it shown "there is no chance to tame this creature", anything goes wrong?
Re: Drake taming
The minimum required skill is probably referring to your "real" skill. You may have 95.6 displayed skill, but click the show real button on the skills menu & see what it shows then. That's your base skill & you need THAT one to be 95.1 for a minimum chance of taming a Drake.
That said, with the bare min skill it's going to take a loooong time to tame one. You might want to raise it a bit higher first before you spend too much time trying to tame one drake. Up to you.
Good luck.

Re: Drake taming
It shouldn't be referring to base skill, it should be referring to adjusted skill.
I'm not sure that table is 100% accurate; I had to edit a couple a while back including dragons.
95.1 for drakes sounds like the historically correct value, so I would guess the game code is incorrect.

Re: Drake taming
Every equation and formula involving game mechanics uses adjusted skill.

Re: Drake taming
I think there should be something wrong with the game setting about drake, because I was able to tame nightmare at 95.1
Re: Drake taming
These people are all wrong. The requirement on this shard is higher than dragons (I don't remember exactly, I've only tamed a couple). I remember it being around the same requirement as white wyrms, which I don't understand since drakes are utterly useless. If you're trying to get skill you're better off taming mares or hell hounds anyways since you get the "You seem to anger the beast!" message 20x for every taming attempt on drakes, dragons and wyrms. Most of the information on tamingarchive.com is correct for this shard, with the exception of the drake values and the tameables that don't exist in this era, so you might want to use that as a reference.
BTW the wiki has a LOT of incorrect information, especially related to taming. I'll be working on it as I get time...I've already made a few changes to the tameable pages. If another tamer who knows what they're doing could help out with improving the wiki, it would be great.

Re: Drake taming
Yeah, my main question is why are you taming a drake? You'll notice as your level gets higher and even when you are able to tame dragons and WW's and Mares, you won't get gains. You're better off at HH or shit, even running around Lost Lands and taming the g toads, g hearts and bulls... because if I'm not mistaken (and if so blame krypto) as you get higher, you won't gain off of fails as much as successes... but yeah, just do Hell Hounds.. i'd do that to gm my taming but if i'm not PKing i'm farming with my tamer lol. But yeah, FYI.. drakes are horrible... you might as well go tame a bunch of imps lol
