Cast 20 times each against a character with 98.0 resist.
One time, with the mana drain, it brought the character's mana down from 25 to 23 or so. 19 complete failures (20 if you count this as a failure, which I do). Mana Vampire failed to move the mana of the 98.0 resist player, 20 times in a row.
These spells are absolutely not useful in any situation in which your opponent has resist.

Yeah... ignoring the teenage angst for a minute... I tested this out and posted because there has been some mention of using these spells against monsters and players.
If you somehow determine that a player has 0 resist, they're certainly quite useful. But since most PvP characters have resist, at or near GM, I just wanted to reiterate that testing shows them to be useless on our shard. Just to clear things up.

It's always had a high fail rate that's why no one has used it in PvP..............ever.
