Is it era-accurate that top level monsters could be farmed using just one spell ?

its not 100 percent correct but the fix is complicated....evs and blades ai is too smart now. blades seem too strong and evs too weak.

you used to need to drain mana off strong creatures like balrons and ww before dropping ev or they would just dispell...once drained one ev would usually do the job in part because the mob would blow mana on lower lvl spells and not wait for 20 mana to dispell.

dropping evs on mobs/players took skill and AIM.. you used to need to run back and forth to trigger the evs to attack lol it was weird...and they would attack players also alot easier if not dropped correctly.

I enjoy farming with these spells as is, but back in the day wouldn't EV's/Blade Spirits draw the attention of surrounding mobs? Not it seems they wait for their friends to die and only attack once engaged.

I've noticed this as well and was trying to decide if it was era accurate or not. It's kinda hard to face big mobs knowing that once you cast BS the rest of the beasties are gonna be drawing a bead on you. lol I've been meaning to ask Derrick about this...

Added to this are the more crowded dungeons back than. Casting an ev or bs could draw the attentions of NOTO's. All they had to do was get close the the ev/bs and get attacked by it. Result would be a grey caster could than be ganged.

malice has it right I think.. Back in the day it was all about getting the mob to drain its mana before you dropped your ev. Also, EV's seemed to have more hitpoints.

Also, I think ev's attack whatever has more int but the radius seemed to be smaller back then, like if you were closer to the ev then the mob it would attack you regardless of the mob being higher int. Now I can cast next to me and a few spots away from the mob and it will go after the mob...

I also noticed when a blade/summoned daemon dies it disappears, on cats they left corpses.....
