Not sure exactly what the patch notes mean regarding interruption being determined by the magery of the interrupted, maybe, then this will make the question moot...but please let me know.
My current build is:
Swords GM
Magery GM
Eval GM
Med GM
Anatomy GM
Resist 95.5
Tactics 89.5
I like the anatomy weapon bonus, but getting disrupted is a life or death situation, plus I use casting much more than swords, so I was thinking about dropping anatomy for wrestling to prevent interruption.
Is this a good change to make considering the new patch?
How hard is it to raise wrestling?
Just wondering what the cost-benefit was...
Thank you for your time guys

Wrestling will prevent weapons hits while casting. Just about any weapon hit is going to do enough damage to interrupt before and after this latest patch. Without wrestling, every weapon swing is going to hit you while you're casting, with gm wrestling you'll dodge at least 50% of all swings.johttenn wrote:I like the anatomy weapon bonus, but getting disrupted is a life or death situation, plus I use casting much more than swords, so I was thinking about dropping anatomy for wrestling to prevent interruption.

I think the new patch regarding disrupts is more along the lines of spell-based disruptions.. From what I gather I don't see it affecting much of anythnig except low-circle spell spams, like Magic Arrow & Harm.. Those would be the only things affected by this new disruption policy, if I am understanding correctly..

That's correct. For the most part except for an occasional wrestling hit or a really useless melee weapon, nothing is really going to have the potential to not interrupt besides very low circle spells.alatar wrote:I think the new patch regarding disrupts is more along the lines of spell-based disruptions.. Wow, thanks for the responses guys, I really appreciate them.
More and more this shard is becoming (has already become) the UO that I fell in love with, which OSI and EA have done nothing but nerf and trammelize.

So would gm wrestling, gm tactics and 100 str not do enough damage to interrupt? What is the minimum amount of damage to interrupt a spell (successful vs/ total-soaked)?
Re: Anatomy or Wrestling in light of the new changes?
i think its supposed to be a find out yourself thing. I tried already getting that info and was shot down!
from what Ive seen so far is ma never disrupts and harm does occasionally. Not enough to be very reliable?
