Losing Last Target
Losing Last Target
I don't know if this should go here, accuracy, or bugs forum, but I'm having issues with my last target and my last combatant.
I'll target someone, hit Attack Last Target, and they'll run away and I'll lose them as being targeted. I don't believe they're getting beyond 8 tiles to hide for a brief moment, but perhaps that's the explanation? I don't know.
Anyone else having this issue?

Re: Losing Last Target
Your post is a little confusing.
Are you saying that if you hit attack last target when they are out of range that your last target will clear completely from that point on and you will have to manually retarget?
If so, are you sure that absolutely nothing else is set to either of those keys?

Re: Losing Last Target
that was in the patch wasnt it...you'll lose your target if your target goes so far off screen?
was peacemaking involved?

Re: Losing Last Target
I didn't hear any peacemaking music, and I'm maybe 80% sure he wasn't beyond 8 tiles. Possible explanations include:
- him actually being 9 tiles away and hitting his hiding button as he ran, hiding for a fraction of a second, which I know would lose him as my last target and active combatant
- some sort of z-axis thing, since we were in Destard and there are those little hills everywhere
- some sort of bug
Anyways just wondering if anyone else has seen this somewhere else.

Re: Losing Last Target
You really aren't giving a lot of information to indicate why/what may of caused this other than you were chasing your opponent and suddenly he was no longer your last target.
Your "last target" will not change regardless of how far away they are. You can cross the entire map, come back 2 hours later and still have the same last target if you have not changed/targeted anything else since targeting him.
If you are talking about being engaged in combat with him, then there are several reasons why this may of happened. The most likely is he went hidden, causing you to obviously "disengage" combat with him. Also if I am not mistaken teleport will cause you to disengage your opponent as well, also briefly breaking line-of-sight, thus why you are able to teleport/hide here.

Yes, sorry I am being confusing, the terminology is somewhat new to me.
I'm not talking last target, I guess I'm talking about losing the "engaged in combat" thing.
It happened again in Destard this morning, so I'm starting to think it's a LOS issue in there with some of the weird little bumps in the land.

Re: Losing Last Target
I believe there was a new patch that will cause you to disengage your current combatant if you they leave your line of sight. Which is like 12 tiles I believe.

Does this apply to last target too? Say if a thief opens a pack, targets an item, then the player moves 12 tiles away...they now lost their last target?

What I do when weird stuff happens is . . . I log in a 2nd account and test it to see if I can get any consistency in the problem I'm having. Sometimes you can't believe everything you think about it until you figure it out.
