Events and Event Items...

I recently attended the event at serpents hold. How is it that i spend four hours, countless deaths, deal with pks, and kill a bajillion monsters and I dont get a reward?

Now apparently the rewards were dropped (very limited) on random monsters?? wtf... so the million people there doing no work at all and causing trouble has as much chance as someone who is doing all the work to get the reward?

Rewards should be given to everyone or not at all.... having random limited rewards drop on random corpses if stupid. I feel like i waisted my life over there and got nothing for it.

Events should be just for fun, not item hording anyway. If you don't have fun at them, then don't attend.

This argument has been done a million times. And yea, btw, this is a video game. You're essentially "wasting your life" no matter what kind of trophies you get.

I agree that the people doing all the killing should get someting at the end as they dont have much time to loot the kills and for everyone person killing the mobs you have 2 or 3 just sitting there ready to loot or try to trap you in so that you get killed. I have done alot of those events and I have only gotten 1 drop which was a santa hat. So I go knowing I wont get anything other than the fun of killing the mobs. I do have to say it sucks to do all that work just to have the people standing around looting all your kills try everything they can to get you killed so they can try and get whatever you might have looted off you. All I can say is if you dont like not getting anything then maybe go and be a looter and dont worry about killing the mobs just plz dont try and get me killed as I am there helping you get this loot.

hes got a point i went to that event and i killed a lot of mobs and every time one died 19 people would charge the corpse and try to loot it.
I dont see staff being able to do much about this so if i was you next time just lure away a ton of mobs to were there is no one else its what i started doing about half way thru and i left with a trophy and a nice stack of gold and had a lot of fun doing it.

Had I known there were trophies, I woulda stayed to loot them from your kills!

The system is fine. In the past those events have been over a much larger area in a town so it wasnt like that. People could actually kill somthing without having to be the fastest gun in the west on the loot to get a trophy. You could drag a few mobs off by yourself even. Me and a friend were at that event from start to finish and we each managed one trophy apiece, but we both enjoyed it a lot. The only thing wrong was the people who just stood there and did nothing but try and loot your kills. Hopefully in the future the invasions will cover a much larger area to prevent that bottleneck effect. Other then that, I commend the staff on a great job and a fun event.

The system is not fine when you go to panthors vendor in brit and he has six five point trophies for sale from the event.... So one person got six trophies??? Are you kidding me??

Its fair because everyone has a chance to get them. Forcing anything to be "fair" after that point is a step towards trammel.
