Treasure Hunter

Post by Germ »

Finally worked up my T-Hunter enough to begin doing some maps, and thinking about altering the template a little:

85.1 / 100 Cartography
89.5 / 100 - Lockpicking
96.8 / 100 -Magery
100 - Meditation
100 - Musicianship
100 - Provocation
100 - Hiding

Took a break from working on my last three skills to hunt a bit, and I have found that I don't use hiding as often as I thought I would, seems just as easy to cast invis. Was wondering what other peoples thoughts were on this, and whether they thought I should switch it out for a more defensive skill like wrestling/resisting spells/???

Thanks,

Germ

I like that template the best; many people don't.

If you drop hiding for invis items, I'd suggest Wrestling in its place.

Yeah, was debating wrestling, or maybe eval int to give my magery a little more punch to finish off low hp spawns. Hiding is easy enough to macro up, guess i could swap it for eval and give it a try for a while, was just wondering if anyone had any experience one way or the other.

I completely agree with Mikel123; I think we're one of the few who actually enjoy this template. Hiding is great not only for tmaps since you can insta-hide as soon as the chest pops, but for dungeon chests as well if you plan on alternating between both and don't want to have to deal with dungeon spawn (tele-hide is pro.)

A good t-hunter will have great mob management in that you shouldn't need to kill anything until the last item is taken from the chest, in which an EV or BS can finish anything still alive.

Yeah, managing the mobs isn't too bad, and I do like hiding a lot, just wasn't sure if it was the best use of the space.

Will keep it for now and keep digging up chests :) thanks for the input

There's a million other uses for hiding too. Going AFK, watching a particular spot, etc. It is financially impractical to use invis charges for all of this.
