Hi, I'm new and have a few questions.

Hey there. I had some questions in mind.

First of all, can i cast spells with armors like chainmail-platemail on me? Does my poisoning skill affects my Poison spell's effectiveness?
And about spawns, are they guarded? I mean, are there mobs to protect the mounts? Do they randomly spawn on world all the time, do I need to track and wander around to find them or they have a constant location? i.e, frenzied ostard spawn?

Monsters spawn within certain areas repeatedly. But, those areas can be very large or very small. And, the time in between a monster dying and a new one spawning somewhere to take it's place, is different for each monster & spawn point. As far as I know, I don't think there's a single monster that spawns on the exact same tile every time. But, some of them only spawn within just one small room, so you are pretty sure the approximate location where it will appear.

Nightmares are on a very specific (unknown) timer.

I returned here to UOSA the beginning of the new year and I have not seen a single mare spawn yet.

Um dont get me wrong guys, I'm not asking the respawn timers or locations of mountsi I just want to understand the system. So how does taming works, say that I have a GM Tamer and I want to tame a frenzied ostard, is there a specific location for that ostard or I just need to run around and track to see if is there any? IF there is a specific location, the ostard spawns alone with no monsters around it or there are monsters to guard it?

Everything spawns exactly the way it did on OSI 1999.

You can find frenzied ostards in T2A woodlands, but there is not a specific pin-pointed location where it spawns, everytime.
