Grey wolves

I cant seem to find any grey wolves. Wanted to use them for taming. looked at the spawn map and it just says woods. I check all north of vesper and from britt west and around to yew and then minoc and I didnt see one. Checked a little to the south west of britt and a couple other places still with no luck. Any one know where there is a large spawn?
