the items you start with are newbie, not blessed. That is they can be looted from you if you are red. But they are breakable.

I believe it's possible the practice weapons from era were not breakable, but those were removed mid-era I believe.

Ah. Ok, and something totally unrelated, resources is spelled wrong in the item creation sys. message "You do not have all the required resourses to make anything with that"

Newbie and blessed items were breakable on OSI. Practice weapons were actually available for a while into UOR.

That is they can be looted from you if you are red

Isn't it inacurate? I remember reds could wear newbie items even after their death during T2A, correct me if I'm wrong.

No currently nothing is unbreakable. I think we'll be adding unbreakable [practice weapon]'s soon.

Does this mean my "special" bear mask will eventually break

no blessed items don't break

A blessed item that offers an AC bonus will be reduced to a 0 AC bonus once its durability reaches zero I think. It won't break though.
