Invisibility items and Magic Trap

Two separate questions.

First - I was wearing an invisibility ring, and then I moved and became unhidden. Then I used the Hide skill to hide myself. Then I took the invisibility ring off, which caused me to un-hide! Anyone remember if this is accurate? I know it causes you to un-Invis, but didn't think it caused you to unhide as well.

Second - Magic Trap seems like it is resistable (I got the "you feel yourself resisting..." message when popping a pouch). Was this always the case? I don't remember it.

I think because you take damage it is resistible.

Invis items definately worked that way.

The spell is called Magic Trap
