Please lower the price of clothing bless deed!

I am targeting this item in particular because I know for a fact it is quite sought out. My problem with it is the price on the silver rewards scale. Look at how it's only 100 cheaper than the rewards that aren't era accurate(special dye masks or sandals, marble piece.) The furn dye costs just as much as a clothing bless and offers 10 charges of arguably "blessed" furniture since they will be locked down in a house anyway. Also, for 200 points(100 less than clothing bless deed) you can get 20 charges of special dye clothing which can be used to have 20 pieces of newbified clothing which is the same as blessed for blue players. The clothing bless deed is only 1 charge and having it doesn't add any imbalance to the game or add radical visual effects such as someone with 10 pieces of neon pink furniture in their home.

What I propose is that we lower the price for especially era accurate items such as clothing bless deeds or AT LEAST just that item. I feel that 300 points is almost punishing those players who want to bless something that's not even expensive such as a certain shade of blue sandals, a surcoat of their favorite regular dye tub color, silver sandals, a regular hued deer mask or what have you.

I believe 100-150 silver is at least a more reasonable price for something era accurate. Clothing bless deeds were everywhere during t2a, and many people had simple clothing blessed and not just "l33t stuff". People feel as if they can't bless something unless it's black sandals or a neon deer mask because it simply costs too much and it's a 1 time deal!

One could argue that for less points and silver you can get neon hair dye which looks very UO:r'ish. As that is when it became really big. At least special dye tub color masks aren't neon and cause eye spasms!

It's this sense of entitlement that makes me want to request that the whole system get scrapped. It's a REWARD. How are you being punished by it, in any sense of the word? At 100 silver, are players even poorer than you also being "punished"?

I'm also curious about blessing common game items, like sandals or a deer mask. Why do people do this? Wouldn't it be much, much cheaper to simply buy a few hundred of them and just put them in a box somewhere? That way you'll never be without one, and it would be 10 times cheaper to do that as opposed to paying for a bless deed.

I actually agree with this.

Clothing bless deeds were like 50,000 gp on pacific back in the day. Compare that to 300 silver here? (Whats that like 150 trophies, 150*10k= oh 1.5 million??) Seriously? It's one thing to have a non-accurate reward thing in the game, which seems completely reasonable because this is a really old game. Taking common items (that have no real impact) and placing them on this mythical reward list though is a bit annoying to me.

Clothing Bless Deeds we're only obtainable through the CUB Act, during the T2A era. The only other time they we're released into the game was when BOD's we're introduced.

I don't think judging the price on these items, because they we're "Only 50,000 gold on <said> server, 10 years ago", is legit. You can't lower the price on these items without reimbursing those who paid the full 150 points, including myself who just bought one yesterday. Psilo, have your PoV guild farm silver for you and stop whining about items you want but can't afford.

If you wan't my .02$ (which im sure nobody really does, but that's why im here) I think CBD's should be 200 points, the entire Turn-In system revamped, and make the trammel items (hued masks, sandals) @ a value of at least 300/350 points. A unique rare, which it's only means of purpose is to be locked down, is 500 points. Why don't we just add an item bless deed for 500 points? It's an era-accurate item as well..

Oh yea, I just realized it was 300 silver and not points. Doh! Sorry for that confusion. Okay, so that's 150 points in order to get a clothing bless deed. Not too bad, but I think 75 is more fair.

Why is it that someone can change their name and avoid their bad reputation for cheaper than someone can bless a pair of true silver sandals which are worth roughly 3k and don't alter the gameplay.

75 points sounds very fair! I also think black dye tub should be lowered just alittle, anyone can get newbified black clothing. Again, it just shouldn't be that high.

Clothing bless deeds were also a gift during christmas one year, that's the main reason they were so widespread. Shard trading and whatnot.

I meant peoples "high-value" items are often removed of value in changes. I'm not happy about the recent tinker changes, but I don't expect Derrick to set my tinker back to 0 and return all the resources I spent. Just because an idea would negatively effect a few players does not mean that it should be discredited.

Yes, both reasonably obtainable clothing bless deeds, and patches that nerf items are "era" accurate.

They're pretty reasonable to obtain. Either buy one, or attend events, just like the rest of the people who have had one of these have done. I've had either 3 or 4 of them, they're not that hard to get, you just need to put the time in, like everyone else has done.

If you can't win events, buy points. Pretty simple to me.

I agree, they are obtainable, no question over that. I would easily cash in and collect a few myself if I did not need 10+ of them to keep my clothing blessed. Sadly I have no desire for uncommon hued bear masks and what have you. The point that I am trying to make is that these were more common than they are here and not game breaking in the least. I understand the removal of the item-bless from the CUB ticket system, I'm sure everyone here who played on a production server prior to the item-insurance/bless-deed change knows the effects of players running around with blessed 25-vanqs. But clothing bless deeds?
