What's to learn, macro up a tankmage or even easier a fencer, gear up with power or better weaps, recall around till you find someone and then attack them. Paralyze before they get a chance to recall, explosion/e-bolt, hally whack then e-bolt. Fencer just use dp weapon first, stick to them like glue, then when life is low switch to power or vanq weapon. Number one rule as always in UO PKing, roll in numbers. Gank Squads usually improve your chances. Learnin curve ain't too steep here in UOSA.....well maybe it is for some.VenGeance wrote:hey were still new and learning something new everyday I think were pissing off all the right people tho
Most complex thing here is getting "hally duelin" down, something which is "shard specific" to this shard as I have never seen hally duelin anywhere else in UO from '98 up until today. Anyone says any differently wasn't there, period (don't want to go there, don't want to go there).
I will admit that hally duelin is a very complex thing to learn and those that are good at it are really impressive. The thing with that type of fighting is once you've got it down, you've got it and then it's like anything else, you are either the better hallywhacker or you're not and the luck of the last e-bolt or heal interrupt/hally whack usually determines the winner (as compared to the last hally insta-hit after a combo or a low-lifebar "finisher" in actual T2A dueling as recycling hally hits was not known back then because disarming and letting your wrestling timer take over didn't work after you re-armed your hally. The wrestling timer didn't count towards your hally swings after you re-armed it. Wrestling only helped while casting spells so you didn't get raped while casting, not as a proxy timer for your hally after a disarm, re-arm cycle)
Re: New Player looking for anti-PK/RP guild
idk I've seen the cr3w do some neat tricks... as far as speed casting ebolts and we don't use wands yet... I do like pissing off PoV tho and having 20 of them outside are tower acting real hard!!

Unless your trying to get pets out too.Mikel123 wrote:Learn to prepare yourself and you will very rarely get PKed. The sad fact is that those who complain about getting PKed the most are the same people who don't prepare themselves. They're the same people that only bother to carry one trapped pouch (or zero!) instead of 3 or more. They don't carry greater heal potions or total refresh potions, even though carrying just 2 of each will absolutely save your ass. They don't have a recall macro set up. Etc.
It really only takes a very, very small investment of time and money to do things like that, and they will probably cut the rate at which you die to PKs to one fifth of what it was. 2 yellow potions, 2 red potions, a recall macro & rune, 3 trapped pouches, and a horse. If you think they 3 extra minutes it takes to gather this before you go out adventuring is too much, remember that next time you'r walking back to town to resurrect. It's well worth the time & investment.

I think the problem with this shard is that there are so many immature assholes who really have nothing better to do than take out their RL angst on everyone else here. Then after they kill you more pks will roll in and kill them because thats how infested it is here. This isnt T2A this is pk online. It can never be like the real T2A when a glorious lord really was a good guy and there were antis and there were good reputable people. Why? Because all those people who were good and nice are playing WoW now. And the only people who still come to UO are the pks, because its the only place left where they can fuck everyone over so freely. So unless your here to kill everyone and steal and greif then your in the wrong T2A. I tried to start an ANTI guild and didnt get a single person wanting to join. This is UO the dark ages. Welcome to hell.
The reason you don't find any strong anti-guilds here is because there just aren't any strong leaders who have the patience and the resolve to make one work. It's HARD work man, making a "fly by night" guild that changes it's charter every other day is easy. You just tell everyone what they want to hear, give them some stuff, put the guild on autopilot when you have better things to do and voila a clusterfuck. PK guilds are even easier, macro up, gear up and go out and kill peeps.......1-2-3 kinda like jiffy pop popcorn. No thought, no skill, no problem![]()
A true anti-guild is a long, tedious, THANKLESS, grind that sucks your will to live through the first several weeks or months of it's inception. A strong, dedicated leader is the only thing that will keep it going and let's face it, those kinds of people are few if not non-existent on this shard.
The members I did manage to get just quit the guild. Its expensive. If there are 5 of you and 5 reds, then soon 6 reds will show up. And if you beat the 6 reds 7 will show up. If you beat 7 reds 8 will show up. Its a losing battle thats not even worth fighting. Eventually the roaches will overwhelm you. And people get tired of dieing and losing their shit so they quit your guild. Most people who want to be anti tend to be the newer players anyways so they never really had a chance. All the experenced pvpers want to be red so they can be a big scary badass.

Re: New Player looking for anti-PK/RP guild
The good fight is worth fighting, it's finding good people to fight that fight which presents the challenge. Building something great is HARD, tearing it down is easy. I know the feeling, people will more often than not take the easy path and as soon as they get built up in an anti-guild they get frustrated and fall in-line with the "if you can't beat them, join them philosophy" and join up with some lame-ass PK guild. These people are mindless followers and sheep IMO and aren't worth their salt in a true anti-guild anyway. Stranger, don't give up, hang in there and maybe a decent anti-guild will rise from this barren wasteland of assholes. If it does, you can be assured that they'll have their work cut out for them.Stranger wrote:KydVicious wrote:Wow, dark man, really dark. Yea, like easy UO auto-looter? Lol. cr3w is exactly what we need less of on this shard, these bottom of the barrel UO players who still act like 12 year olds from 1998 and feel the need to exploit the game!idk I've seen the cr3w do some neat tricks...

Who needs ventrilo while we're at it, pvp takes more skill and timing without trying to load up a 3, 2, 1. Which btw isn't effective, this isn't Divinity or IPY.
2, 1 drop isn't as effect as 1v1v1v1v1 in a group fight and switching targets when needed. I
Blah, the problem is the players not the game. The game is wonderful.

Also... http://my.uosecondage.com/Status/Player/36595 You've blue-killed 29 people, and have attempted to blue-kill me twice. So yeah... while you whine and moan about PKs all you like, I'm going to keep killing you until you smarten up.

Insert your <my guild is full of newbs> defense here.
[14:17] <UOSAPlayer4056> cr3w guild is a joke. Ran by staff members, multi client pking, this shards a joke and a half.

The more you kill my members the better they will get, thanks for that!See screen-shot thread in trash talk plz. Our bottom of the barrel PvP'ers are just running all over you guys.
I am sure you wouldn't be where you are today if it wasn't for you dying thousands of times on OSI over the years and dying hundreds of times on UOSA.

I've had to clean this thread up quite a bit. Let's try and keep things civil in here.
