Plants, flowers, breeding..
I have read some post and noticed that all kinds of champ stuff and so on are highly rejected. I understand the reasons. But i didn't notice about these. Wouldn't be nice to have stuff like plants and flowers. I mean with absolutly cosmetic purpose, or "fruits" that won't really lead to any disbalance for the pvp game part. After all these stuff is so cool for the PvMs.. Also girls are really impressed with that stuff.. True it's not era accurate but wouldn't it be nice to have non-pvp people have some gardening fun.. Same for the breeding stuff (no matter if it's dragon or puppies). Couldn't it be implended so people have some pure fun + little pvm help, without competing with the real tamers. Everyone would love to grow up a little snake to a big crocofile, or little spider to big spider or something like that.. This won't really produce any negative effect on pvp balance and economy, right?
Please don't tear me apart. Just thinking that is pretty nice stuff without fucking the game like all other champ, insures, arts and so on did.

Aye, these things do bring an interesting aspect to the game, but they do step on some things as well, not least of which is the rarity of the plants that do exist in game.
One of the things I think about quite often is, is there anything on UOSA that a player who came to us having not played since 1999 would be surprised by or not understand how it works.

Well, although plants, breeding and such would not be 'era accurate', you have to remember that if the mechanics of the game were kept the same, the content still would have evolved.
I personally don't see a problem with adding content such as this, since it's a community building function.
But then again, I'm not a player, so my opinion isn't really valid

I think it's natural to progress and add things but as long as they don't disrupt already accurate things such as like he said "plants that already exist".
There should be no other way to obtain the current server spawn rares, if there were more rares implemented they should be an item you couldn't get before and maybe be a low % chance drop on a wyrm who knows.
Stuff like that is what keeps people logging back in, IMO it doesn't scream INACCURATE as much as stuff like perceived pvp mechanics inaccuracies, or instanced automatic CTF, 1v1 toourneys and events(the big controversial accuracy). That's the things people quit over, not a things that progress the server like temporary "special spawns" or something like that. Nothing drastic or imbalancing. Something that adds an RP aspect, some lore and a new temporary spawn with a low % chance for a rare item would be interesting. It would create more hotspots. We need to appeal to veterans and pvmers, always. PVP's will always be pvping, but we really need to appeal to adventurers more too!
I think by adding small pvm things here and there, a new quest ect. WE increase pvp, player interactions and everything at the same time. No one is gonna complain!

Psilo got exactly what i ment with my post. So if got it right in this shard there is never going to be made such changes? That's the last word from the game master?
In my opinion this will give negative result.. With years uo was destroyed by being made more and more complicated.. Too much changes, not enough thinking about the consequences. But don't forget that the lack of evolution can be as destructible as too much evolution. I think that there must be found some balance.. What's easier then keeping evolution with cosmetic changes so no one gets frustrated with the technical changes (pvp i mean), and still giving pvm people have something to be excited for..
