Remove Trap Question?

I was reading about the remove trap skill on stratics (I know it does not necessarily apply here) and I am wondering if gloves make it harder to remove a trap on this server?

I have been experimenting with it a bit and I think they do but I cant prove it to my self yet.

an offical word would be nice

i don't know for sure, but other types of those conditions apply here as well..

i.e.: wearing armor to gain stealth at higher levels..
