Bellows

Post by Van Raily »

Why don't they work?

Bellows are the end pieces on forges, of which I am referring to. When used, they're supposed to light the embers in the forge. When I first started as a miner back in '98, the other players told me it increased your chances to smelt the ore; while I don't know whether or not that's true, it does go to show how much the playerbase of the era was really aware (or ignorant) of the game mechanics and their functions.

Note: If they do work in other towns, then they don't work in Delucia.

True!!! Back in '98 - '99 I'd stand there hitting them bellows while separating dull copper ore to 1 piece piles thinking I'd have a better chance at smelting it because some smart ass told me having the hottest embers improved your chances!!!

Yep yep I heard a rumor about that and told my friend on Pacific, Poor Man. I think he did that through a good bit of his mining.

This was been on my list of things to do since before we opened the shard. Thanks, I'll try to get this in soon.

It's not believed that the bellows actually helped, but it's a great rumor!
