Peacemaking
Peacemaking
Hail!
I am sorry if this has been already reported.
When I provoke two neutral targets (for example two cows) and then use peacemaking, they should stop fighting - but they don´t.
All neutral targets should become "neutral" again when peacemaking is used - but right now they will re-target and attack their last target.
Cheers,
mat

Re: Peacemaking
Aye. We're aware peacemaking is a little "messed up", but still apprecaite the post.
It's kind of at the bottom of the list sice it's generally considered not such a useful skill, but if it's something you've got a use for I'll get on it faster.
Thanks

Re: Peacemaking
Hi!
Thanks for your reply! It´d be great if the issue could be fixed sometime - I do actually have peacemaking on my two favourite characters - a bard and a tamer.
OT: Even as someone who endorsed Trammel when it was invented, I really enjoy the gameplay on this shard.
Cheers,
mat

Re: Peacemaking
Welcome to SecondAge mat
I'll see what I can do about getting PeaceMaking fixed sometime this week.

Re: Peacemaking
Hmm... I peacemaking seems to still be messed up. Any chance of getting this fixed?
Re: Peacemaking
Not sure if this was fixed yet or not. Peacemaking from what I have seen will make the creature/animal non-aggressive if you target it directly (not targetting yourself) for awhile even if you are hitting it. Now if you target yourself it will do an area of effect peacemaking temporarily (pretty temporary). Is this how it would be used here?

Re: Peacemaking
Actually in t2a peacemaking wasnt targettable.
You peaced and it did an area affect that lasted just a few seconds, then the agressive monsters would retarget,or if the 2 animals that were fighting would start back up.
I remember figuring out how useful targetted peacing was going to be when they introduced it but that was late in UO:R or even later I think......

Re: Peacemaking
Your correct on the mechanics regarding area and target peace, but I don't think it was a few second of peace. I may be totally wrong, but didn't peace cause creatures to cease all hostilities long enough for agressives to retarget? The retarget time was what was natural for a creature to target. Creatures not normally aggresive (cows, or tames) would cease all hostile actions unless they were targeted by an agressor or commanded to agress. I am certainly flying off memory here and can be off base.
Re: Peacemaking
sounds about right to me.. i know that using peacemaking in destard was quite useless as they have a higher aggressor rate, which in turn caused them to auto-retarget you as soon as you took a step near them..Maleficia wrote:Your correct on the mechanics regarding area and target peace, but I don't think it was a few second of peace.
