Char Build

Post by BMOORE1974 »

I want to build a char that is a pure warrior, no magery but be able to PVP.
i was thinking.
100 str
100 dex
25 int

Which one of these skills should i switch for wrestling or should i chang more than one?

anatomy
arms lore
healing
hiding
parrying
resiting spells
swordsmanship
tactics

For an in town warrior:
Swords
Tactics
Anatomy
Healing
Hiding
Magery
Meditation

*or maybe switch out meditation for archery and swap swords for macing.

Out of town warrior:
Swords
Tactics
Anatomy
Healing
Magery
Meditation OR Hiding OR Wrestling
Resist Spells

Mainly preference, but remeber that magic in town does only 1 dmg, so town chars dont really need resist. Also I would get about 35-40 INT on either of the templates becuase magery is just too usefull not to have imo.

Spells do 0 damage in town, but without resist you will be poisoned EVERY time. If you go without magery, better make sure you pack plenty of pots. Also, you're eventually going to find yourself out of the guard zone, and once you do you'll really miss having resist.

My favorite dex build is:

Swords/Mace/Fence
Tactics
Anatomy
Healing
Magery
Meditation
Resist Spells

100 str / 85 dex / 40 int

If you're dead set on no magery, then your choice is basically parry/hiding or archery/hiding with the 100/100/25 stat build.

Without resist you will be poisoned everytime? Poison is unresistable in this era by anything.

While it is true that the actual act of being poisoned was unresistable, the strength of the poison, and the duration of the poison could be reduced by resist. It was also suggested that each tick of the poison was resistable, although no one has found any information to support this.

all the advice is helpful... but i dont see the point in making a "town warrior" for what??????? the object of this char would be to pvp with out having to use magic....scrolls & pots would be fine... on this char i just wanna try compeating without magery.. maybe a little for bragging rights.... of course i wouldnt win all encounters but handling my own sure would feel good aginst those ppl who try to come off as enjoying pvp but for the most part target ppl who play gen. char or mule chars... kicking a little ass on a char like that sure would piss those fake ass pvp / pk'ers off.... using no magery lol... i hope it's possi...

An ideal char. template for a warrior in my opinion is as follows:

-Anatomy
-Healing
-Parrying
-Resist
-Mace Fighting
-Tactics
-Magery

I had this template about 9 years ago, and it proved well during the beginning of the faction guilds. I can't remember if I dropped parry for something else, but my weapon of choice was the war hammer. I don't remember if a war hammer is used with a shield or not, but I did use a war axe with a shield. If someone can answer weather or not a war hammer can be used with a shield or not please do.

I like the Mace Fighting because of the ability to destroy armor, and the stamina loss it inflicts on your opponet. This basically paralyzes your opponet and enables you to make an easy kill.

I will be creating a char. with this template and would like to hear some other opinions on this char. and look forward to PvPing when ready.

Anat
fencing
poisoning
resist
tact
heal
archery

10 of each potion//15 trapped pouches//poisonmacro to dp kryss FTW

if you think you need magery (which you don't) drop resist by .1 and carry level one scrolls
if your casting spells then your not swinging a dp kryss eh?
