Cannot remove item from picked chest

Hello All,
Sometimes when picking chests I will find a rare item... however, when I try to pick it up it says something like you cannot pick this up. I have heard you have to steal these but that does not work either (tried with GM thief). I would love to pick up these items if anyone knows how!

This only happens once in a while... most chests are problem free!

you need to use the stealing skill and select the item you want to take from the chest, some times it takes 2 or 3 tries
