Can't hide in combat like that - I think it's pretty much impossible.

Not sure what the rules are but if anything is on you, unless you teleport, you can't hide within a certain distance.
8 tiles at GM hiding but only if they have attacked you. If they are coming around a wall they can see you and see what you say but can't attack you.

You're absolutely right. Funny idea actually. You can add a "[Frozen] to keep it authentic... but it'd have to be grey text. lol...

You can't see people talking if they're not in your LoS (ie, if you can't attack them).

Also, razor pretty much filters out any chance of you "faking" spells like in '99.

I've done the Recall/hide tactic to some effect years ago (back in 1999 - an era accurate strategy that no longer works =[). My favorite is the get para'd and boom, then get para'd and stop.

In packs of two, PKers tend to cast paralyze again, waiting for the boom pouch. I just spin in place, like I'm desperately trying to get away without any boom pouches. When they get their explosions up, I trip the trapped pouch and away I go.

Note: I carry 6-8 boom pouches standard.
Gone to greener pastures.

I got pked in '98 killing harpies. After statloss removed 80% of the PK population on Chesapeake, I decided it was time I brought back the fear into the eyes of PvErs. Thus The Dread Lord Ironfist Max (or Deacon on here) was born. My goals are to take your loot or make your heart jump up a notch when you see that red name appear on your screen. If I have done either, my goal was reached. Surviving a good PK attack can be just as rewarding/fun imo.

To say you survived a pk is like saying you saw the chupacabra or a unicorn or bigfoot tis not something that happens in reality or in UO when the pks come just stand still and die its the best way to do things then you can save the chase time and get back to work after you help stuck out.

To save even more time you could do one of the following

Drink a deadly poison potion

OR (and this one is more effective)

Carry a trapped box at all times, and open it the moment you see a red name. Bonus points if you weaken yourself first (but you should always be wearing a necklace of weaken [100+ charges], anyway). You can find trapped boxes made by chum on most doorsteps.

That could be expensive you have to buy a suicide permit from chum to do this, and you have to have a license to carry trapped boxs.

Thanks dude. It gives me a real sense of satisfaction.
Indeed, I like calling people faggots as well, right after getting them guard whacked and such.

I haven't tried this but it sounds quite fun (and clever). I assume the trick to it is saying "lol faggot" after they have died. Living players is a no-go?

I'll give it a go tonight and report back with results
