current status of the events
I just wanted to know what people are thinking about the current state of the events such as double domm, ctf, bagball, etc..
please write some of your experiences with events lately and your opinions.
From what I have been experiencing the majority of the events have some form of an afk player. (I mostly log in during the night and see a gate for events like double domm and ctf at around 2:00am PST.) so I dont know much about the day events but the ones at night usually have a problem with afkers.
I have even noticed newbie chars that do not really have a place at a pvp event, these players are not afk but run around just getting farmed for kills and do not even have the ability to heal or attack. I do not think people should be excluded from playing the events but just one char with low hp getting farmed constantly makes a team lose an event.
Suggestions/Requests:
1.Can the team leader of a ctf or double domm at least get a 1 trophy, i know most people sell them or turn them in, but would be kinda cool to have those at least for the team leader to place inside their house.
2. make some type or minimum requirement to play in events (maybe have a char be between 3x-4x gm) so people do not just join with a character that is not afk but exists for the purpose of being farmed.
3. ban people from events when they are caught afking.
4. possibly have some credible and reliable players who are at certain events in order to play monitor the status of afkers or newbie chars through the process of playing so that gm's chill and and not have to babysit us.
This post is not to complain it is just to bring awareness to the fact that people are breaking the rules and sometimes when I join these events and there are afkers or newbie chars being farmed and I regret joining the event and want to quit it. there still are some fun events but those are the times no one is afk and what not. I do not think that gm's should have to monitor the events and it sucks that people are too greedy and lazy to just try and win a fun event without breaking the rules and are ruining it for everyone else.

I used to be addicted to these events... they were so fun.
I second your suggestion about team leader getting a trophy or something. I've been team leader a few times and although it's quite rewarding just seeing your name mentioned, I wish there was some way to commemorate it. Maybe have the trophy say "______ was team leader for CTF/DD on ##/##/##!". Kinda cool to have it decorate homes. But of course they should be able to be exchanged for reward points.

- Client crashing when action heats up. I notice many people crash as well.
Hmm, about the new players... although I think it's alright to have them play, you do have a point when someone with 50.0 skills go against people who are mostly GM. Don't know if there should be some rule regarding this though. I'm okay with them.

I was at the double domination tonight and witness the miner character just running around hitting people with a pickaxe and dieing very frequently. I also noticed two-three archers, all dressed the same, not sure if they were bots or what just something I noticed.

4-team ctf is not necessary, 2-team is perfectly fine. apart from that, i like the events.

I think the survival event is working realy well now.
The bagball just needs tweaking to how the sign ups work and it will be set.
There are rarely any afkers at these two events. An afk player is pretty much guarenteed a loss so not a 50/50 shot at a prize in these two.

Just have a 1 tile spawn room attached to each CTF flag room and have respawners pop up in there. SOme sort of door that only that team can pass through- if thats possible.
Shouldnt prevent new players from playing in events, but there should be some limit, like 8 hours or 24 hours.

So about the miners/crafters (those without any pvp skills) joining the games just to cause an annoyance... How about impose a minimum skill for combat or magery? Nothing too high, something reasonable... But yeah that wouldn't prevent someone who's set out to cause grief their team, but maybe it'd help a bit.

Survival requires a mage bard to win now. Dexer bard has no chance.
The AWS spawn at rapidly state too quickly. If you want quicker games, start with stronger spawn from the very beginning (skip the mongbats to harpies sillyness).
Going from Demon to Dragon to AW to AW to 3 AWS is not a very smooth progression. At the very least make the progression more smooth. Otherwise the only way to win is to cast repeated walls of stone.

Remove all events, except for once a week. They should be special events, not daily grinds for silver.
Remove tournaments. There is nothing about a tournament that can't be set-up by players, it is most often the tourny players who are the ones who log in only to play events, then log out when they are over. Tournaments should be player-ran, and there should not be trophy awards for winning three 1v1 matches. Tournaments are directly detracting from quality player interaction. Let pvp reputations be earned in FELUCCA, not TRAMMEL, with risk and reward, not this care-bear tournament nonsense, which doesn't resemble anything that ever existed on OSI shards. For those that argue that tournaments attract a specific type of player to the shard, I say that those players don't really play here. So many of our "top" pvpers are simply unseen on the shard unless there is an event going on, these type of players add absolutely nothing to the community.
Remove LMS and 4-team CTF, they aren't fun for 90% of the people who play it. Bring back CTF huts and CTF town, because they were fun and it's something players cant recreate themselves.
Jail people who afk during events. Or add some sort of command where after X amount of warnings from their teammates, a player is removed from the team.
Don't add in team leader, we had it, and the community agreed that it led to a lack of quality teamwork.
Newbies suck, but they still have a right to participate in events.

As someone who doesn't join in on events, I will say that events are the best time to farm. Once an event starts, there's never anyone around at all.
Of course, half the people who are gone are making more gold than otherwise possible, participating in these risk free events.
IMO either dumb down the rewards from events, or scrap the rewards entirely. It's one thing that these events are "trammelising the game", it's another when the rewards are so huge that we're actually being encouraged to goto trammel.
