This was very brief, right after MiBs and Tmaps were added to fishing. The drop rate on OSI was lowered shortly after.

well why not make fishing at least worthwhile, I mean 4 hours with no MIB is a waste of time

I freely admit that I did not play during t2a..so I have no personal knowledge of what fishing or anything else was like back then.

However, it's probably useful to realize that (at least in theory) they make changes to the shard based on empirical evidence of some kind, so constantly posting stuff about "this is how I remember it" is pretty meaningless..there is a ton of complaining about how the staff does not listen to the players recollections of the era etc. Well, all I can say is that I hope they do not, it creates a much more reasonable environment when they make changes based on evidence..not someone's feelings.

That being said, can someone point to where the documentation/research was for these changes?

This garbage is gonna get locked just like the patch notes. If Derrick says everything was reverted to how it was pre-patch, then it was. Period.

This is the most uncorrupt server that I have ever played on. Derrick and his team go out of their way to investigate bugs, errors and inaccuracies. They don't cater to one particular group over any other, and to imply that the staff is secretly picking on fishers is absurd.

Derrick even went so far as to apologize and admit there was a error in calculation and you guys are still flaming him.

You don't pay to play here. Show the guy a little respect for creating a server that you've enjoyed for countless hours for FREE. If you have a problem address it like a human being.

Stop all this crybaby, sense of entitlement bull$%%.

I too spoke with derrick and he told me the very same thing, said it was reverted to the way it was pre-patch so I have no reason not to believe him. I am thankful for the staff and all the hard work they put into this shard which allows us to play the greatest game in the best era for FREE! With that said my fisherman is on one hell of a bad streak and I find that my pull rate is way way below 1 per hour but, there are hot streaks and there are cold streaks, for example I logged on my fisherman this morning fished for about 30 mins before I went out to run some errands and I pulled 3 mibs. 3 mibs in 30 minutes...this is more in half an hour than I have pulled in hours upon hours of fishing. Derrick doesn't have it in for fisherman and the truth is the fisherman who are having great days aren't posting at all. Its people who are having bad days that post and I am guilty of that as well. This thread was started by me and I regret the tone I have created, but as a fisherman I will say that I had a great day today and I am very excited to sail and fish my loot up. I encourage other fisherman who have had some good days to come forward and let everyone know, it will be encouraging and help others to keep the faith. Regards to everyone who posted and thanks to the staff for the great shard.

It is just frustrating, I do LOVE this shard and THANK DERRICK and the other volunteers to put together this cool, FREE shard! I just thought it would be like "the old days" with an MIB here or there. But, after reading more than a dozen folks say that fishing isn't working for MIB's, it just makes me sad about fishing. I mean, if they tweak a little in our favor will it really throw the shard out of balance?
