Decay of Regular Items In Home

Sorry i couoldnt find a nother place to post this but does anyone happen to kno that with this new patch coming through will regular items such as chests and what not that are not locked down, rares, etc will these disappear? or is it just newbied items. Thanks !

Only newbie items and body parts inside the house proper, and only if they are not locked down

But courtyards, etc, that is areas not actually in the home all items will now be subject to decay after the next timethey are moved.

How about newbie items in containers that are not locked down?

items in containers will only decay if the container decays.

This may (will) change in the future for items in chests in towns and dungeons, but will always be the case for player homes

what if i have a castle with boxes placed in the courtyard and sell it? will the boxes still stay until moved or does the change of ownership count as a move?

The change of ownership does not count as a move, however it's unclear if these items will last forever even if not moved, but they will certainly last until everyone has had a fair chance to become aware of the change.

It's unclear if these items will last forever even if not moved, but they will certainly last until everyone has had a fair chance to become aware of the change.

To restate, we may not grandfather these items from decay for all eternity, there is very little "holding them from decaying", and future shard work may even cause this gradfathered state to be lost.

We will promise that these will last at least 14 days, but it is best to lock these down in the long term if they are of value to you.
