Are melee skills difficulty based in t2a?

Aye in that charaters that are fighting with equal weapons skill have a 50% chance to hit each other. Complete info on how combat works is in the "Combat Damage" guide in the guides section

Skill gain in weapon skill is also based on the difficulty of your opponent, if you have no chance of missing him, you won't be able to gain skill.

So derrick, the higher the target's wrestling, the faster you will gain?

If the two combatants are within 30 skill points of each other, i.e - wrestling vs macing, archery vs swords, etc. you will gain in skill.
