Is this accurate for the T2a era? I played back then and the only time i remember being able to heal over poison was in the days of trammel etc when 0si messed everything up...

I noticed once my pvp char was up to scratch that you can heal through poison using magic...

Healing through poison with magery was a function that existed during T2A and was later removed during when UOR came out

Sounds like you're a bit backwards here. 
Healing through poison was removed with the UOR publish as Kaivan pointed out.
