A current map of mainland Britannia with all buildings.

Post by Jill Stihl »

I started this out of personal curiosity, thought others might find it interesting or useful.

At the time of posting no part of this is more than 22 hours old so it's about as accurate as you're likely to get.

I covered the whole mainland apart from behind Yew Jail (seemed to need a boat to get to the outside?). I intended to do the islands too but tbh I started to lose the will to live after about 9 hours.

**Edit - A full size single pic can now be seen here - http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/2205/mapf.png (1.6mb) thanks to Rouss.**

I've tried to stitch this into one big pic but I lack the software, skills or both, so it is unfortunately spread across ten pictures but it still serves its purpose. Starting at the North-West corner of the lands and working right, then it drops down and to the West side again, IYSWIM -

If anyone with the right Photoshop skills can produce one big picture from this that would be great.

Lastly, quick thanks to Doogie Howser for the kind offer of a gate when I looked lost, and to the numerous murderers I encountered who seemed to agree with my "I'm really not worth killing" macro :)

That's awesome, if you do the islands I'd be interested to see what Dagger Isle and Moonglow look like = )

I saved every house larger than a 7x7, but you sir have crushed my work ethic. (I'm guessing the number of 7x7's at least equals the number of larger houses)

Well, they aren't :P. Also, while its an awesome map, I'm sure houses go down and up on a daily basis, which kind of sucks for static map-making.

I had to re-pass the area between Cove and Vesper after UOAM stopped linking to the secondage server, also had trouble around the whole map with large bricks not always registering. But missing two houses in the same sort of area is a bit :( Could the one next to the moongate be under the moongate graphic? [I'll insert more excuses or remotely possible explanations here as I think of them]

As you say, it's already out of date anyway due to IDOCs etc so it doesn't really matter if the odd small is missing. I think it gives a decent idea of the housing layout and space here though even if it will change a little each day :)

Mike123 - I didn't save all those houses manually, I'm not that mental. As long as the house appeared on my radar for a moment it got saved to UOAM. Part of the reason it took so long was inefficient routes and being on foot.

I was sure I'd got everything : - (
