Um, apparently, I *am* that mental.

My original goal was to note all castles, then I decided to note all towers and keeps too, then I figured I should note all large houses as well since many of them can fit towers.

I stood on every doorstep, ALT-TAB to UOAM, right-click, new object, named the house according to it's type, picked a custom-made icon that noted it's size and shape.

That is 12 hours I'm never getting back :-(

:o

If you want the easier way for next time -

Have a skim through this - http://uoam.net/houses.html

Go to your UOAM Additional Settings > UOAssist > Log houses to this file >(I chose 'personal' from the dropdown)

Then go to the 'Link' tab and enter 'uosecondage.com' in the name box, 64.34.183.167 in the IP box, Port 2000.

Then press 'Link to server'.

Player buildings will now auto save as labels in your UOAM.

Note - You have to press 'Link to server' whenever you restart UOAM if you want it to work for that session. I also think that being linked allows other linked players to track your character, but they only see 'uosecondage.com' as the player name. Really not sure about this bit though.

You do not need to have UO Assist installed for any of this to work. I believe it's not allowed on this server anyway?

Hope that's of use.

Great job Jill! I've personally thought about doing this. But I've always lacked the effort! +1 internet for you!

I think I've figured out the missing houses issue - UOAM is set to check what's coming from the server every 3 seconds. I think if a house was on my radar for less than that time it might've been missed.

The larger areas that are green and empty looking are either very uneven ground or restricted placement areas. I didn't miss anything that big :D

The other unusual green bit near the Justice shrine is just where I smudged out the town symbol I have over my hamlet. Didn't seem right to leave it on a public map. I also smudged out two blue pins elsewhere that I'd left on the display, but these shouldn't even be noticable. Apart from that the map is exactly as UOAM supplied it.

Now someone's going to tell me their castle is missing.

I couldn't afford a tenth of a castle deed

It is as it is. The chances of me ever redoing it are miniscule. Draw your house on with a crayon or something :o

I just finished re-doing this with the instructions in here. Anyone know how I can count the number of each house icon on the map without having to do it by sight?

Don't mean to be picky, but you missed most of the N$C guild town. All you got was the GH. Now, granted, you did mention that you got everything bigger than 7x7, and that's what most of our town is made of, but I just thought I'd mention it.
