do the +2 more dmg make such a diffrence - it's like a bit slower katana?

The problem with a broadsword, as far as selling them goes, is they're the most common combat weapon. Monsters typically drop weapon types randomly (with ranged weapons a little more frequently since most of them are unrepairable), EXCEPT the Balron, who drops a magic broadsword every time. It wouldn't surprise me if there were 30% more +20 power broadswords out there than there are +20 power katanas, or +20 power viking swords. So, they'll typically fetch a lower price than they should, relative to their merits as a weapon.
