Skill Gain Super slow
Skill Gain Super slow
Skill gain is going up extremely slow. Is there a reason for this? Dont tell me there is "power hour"....
These skills are very low... 20's etc.

Be more specific.
There is no way gain is slow, it's actually fast here, you are probably doing something wrong?

Re: Skill Gain Super slow
need some more info.
what skill? What are you currently doing to raise it? Have you checked the guides section of the forums there is a post called compilation of skill guides that has links to almost every skill that is very helpful. No powerhour.

Sorry for the late reply. Gained .5 swords and roughly the same with tactics in an hour while fighting random undead / orcs near delucia. Also tried boat sparring, nothing...
I haven't played a couple days, i'll test more.

spar with a npc fighter that you can hire. you can find them in taverns/jhelom duel pit.Grubb wrote:Sorry for the late reply. Gained .5 swords and roughly the same with tactics in an hour while fighting random undead / orcs near delucia. Also tried boat sparring, nothing...

Re: Skill Gain Super slow
Skill gain is not slow here.
(well it depends on what other shard you played, but this shard tries to make their skill gain rate like T2A. so there are no boosts like in hybrid)
You can get a gm warrior in a day.
And nope there is no power hour.

Re: Skill Gain Super slow
Find a fighter npc such as Bob the Fighter.
Say: Bob Hire
Pay the asked for gold (usually 100 gp) by dropping it on them for as many 'days' as you want.
Then say:
Bob Guard me (targeting cursor will come up and click yourself)
Then:
attack Bob (he will be green meaning neither of you will be grey)
Immediately Say:
Bob Stay
what ever weapon is in your hand will gain fast.
Create a macro that uses bandages to heal bob every 6.5 seconds (6500 on the razor time delay thing). I would also loop into that macro one that would use anatomy on Bob.
This takes care of: Weapons skill, anatomy, tactics and healing.
Macro would look something like this:
Use Item Bandages (double click bandages)
Wait for Target
Absolute Target (this is you clicking on Bob)
Pause 6.5 seconds (you have to manually input this in the macro; last option)
Use Skill Anatomy
Wait for Target
Absolute Target (this is you clicking on bob)
Pause 4.5 seconds (same as other one; 4.5 seconds is 4500)
Make sure you click on the Repeat(?) box on the bottom right below start/stop.

The whole approach on your part is rather ironic. Refuse to do the work in finding the information yourself but rebute anything that is presented to you.
Re: Skill Gain Super slow
Is skill gain reduced player vs player? Because I just started today had 2 characters going at each other gained like .3 in an hour.
So decided to hit up some easy monsters for swords gains, I'm low 40s and I've gained .6 after killing about 10 harpy's.
I'm going to try NPC fighters, this is crazy slow really.. I mean you'd think that being in an environment such as a dungeon would give better gains than vs an npc fighter..

Yes skill gain while sparing players is slow.
