Do you enjoy the pvp mechanics of uosecondage?
Re: Do you enjoy the pvp mechanics of uosecondage?
Domnu has successfully conquered RunUO pvp...
How about the actual game out of curiousity?

Re: Do you enjoy the pvp mechanics of uosecondage?
There will always be "some" luck in UO since it's an RPG, there is numbers and dice rolls thrown in there. But overall fights are won by who played better, especially field pvp since hally spamming isn't as effective. Field pvp adds other dynamics in that can't be ignored when talking about PVP altogether, that's why field pvp is more fun and less annoying than tourneys/events IMO.

+1Psilo wrote:UO is so much more fun when you aren't worried about dying/losing items like what seems to be more of the celebrity pvpers who are in their mid 20's. It's 2010 people, lose the EGO and have some fun.
Their so leet and can't be bothered with playing UO & (fielding).. All they do is setup arranged fights. Which simulates a real field fight!Psilo wrote:all you l33t pvpers complaining so much about luck and not being able to kill people. Stop joining trammelized, rules and regulated tournaments.
That's some real UO right thur.

Let them stay on Div/IPY. Personally, those style players don't belong over here. Those servers have organized a completely different community and made for a very lame playerbase.
They have unfortunately forgotten what UO is (how could they remember they were like 8-10 years old when UO was released), and have had a cover pulled over their eyes by false prophet shards. Its like the matrix, let them remain oblivious in their world, and we will know how it really is in ours.

Re: Do you enjoy the pvp mechanics of uosecondage?
nobody is complaining, it wouldn't do us any good if we were. this isn't a thread about complaining, it is about your opinion on the enjoyability of the mechanics. if you're not going to post about the enjoyability of the mechanics you can just not bother posting at all because you're all looking a bit silly now.

Re: Do you enjoy the pvp mechanics of uosecondage?
Well my apologies but the mechanics are the reason why they don't like it.marmalade wrote:nobody is complaining, it wouldn't do us any good if we were. this isn't a thread about complaining, it is about your opinion on the enjoyability of the mechanics. if you're not going to post about the enjoyability of the mechanics you can just not bother posting at all because you're all looking a bit silly now.
So that's what the argument ultimately boils down to.
Re: Do you enjoy the pvp mechanics of uosecondage?
you cant argue against why someone doesn't like something. that's the whole point.

Re: Do you enjoy the pvp mechanics of uosecondage?
The only one looking 'silly' is you marm.
You make a complaint about consistency but refuse to state what actually is 'consistent' after the statistics were presented to you with spell interruption. Actually,Pro and you both have still refused to tell us what would actually be considered consistent son.
Doubt that you'll answer this time either since you haven't after several posts now.

Who called that one!Faust wrote:Doubt that you'll answer this time either since you haven't after several posts now.
Wow, Pro.. 30 pages and still pending your answer. Hopefully marm won't last that many pages. However, we shall see my son!
Why is it so hard to tell us what you think a 'consistent spell interruption' basis is in here?
Re: Do you enjoy the pvp mechanics of uosecondage?
well, to most people, that would be pretty self explanatory faust. consistent usually means consistent.
don't worry bro i'll talk you through it slowly. you take the current values and you imagine them being more consistent and less random. pretty easy huh?

Again, still waiting on what you think is consistent since you don't think an automatic 70% that scales significantly higher per damage point when disrupting a greater heal spell is consistent...
We will be waiting on your next three sixty son.

faust you are a sociopath

Halleluyah
<DemonArkanis> hopefully ill go to hell and not have to listen to your bullshit
Re: Do you enjoy the pvp mechanics of uosecondage?
Still put a whoop'n to you on test center G.
Kind of amusing after reading some of these older posts in this thread though. Seems like everyone that was a 'nay sayer' ended up loving the changes after all.

Mechanics are much better now. Easily the best that's out there.
