Re: taking away something players enjoyed?
More bagball, also change sign ups from other games to be more like bagball in rl world
swap bagballs sign ups for survival game sign ups in same spot
wins all around

Survival is instanced PVM - which is ridiculous (play WOW if you want that), and bagball - do people kill other people in bagball? If so thats PvP to me....
2.5 times as many events for pvpers than for bagballing survivalists! need a crafter event asapz
I really dont think 9 am bagball games are going to detract l33t pvpers from the field at prime time.

Re: taking away something players enjoyed?
I dont give a rats ass about crafter events. I want all the instanced *safe* care bear trammel events to happen in the real world or not at all. Grief free PvP is NOT accurate.
You keep trying to make it look like something other than what it is: Trammel for PvP/PvM.

Re: taking away something players enjoyed?
where in trammel did 4 players get locked in their own seperate box and have to compete against increasingly more difficult monsters until only one was remaining?
you keep throwing around the word 'trammel' as if it has any significance to these events. Trammel is completely unrelated to a system that forces a player to drop a ball after 3 seconds, sends reset packets, and is in a walled area in Britains farmlands.
You are mixing up mini games inside UO with an entire faccet that doesnt exist in this era.

Re: taking away something players enjoyed?
He must not understand what bagball is, its not a 'pvp' event. Attacking other players would disqualify you and hurt your team.
If you want to 'attack' the players playing bagball and you are not a participant there would be a line of sight stopping you...
or you just have the event auto kick you as soon as you begin casting any offensive spell or go into war mode? just like a player would do if it was in their castle or whatever?
We shouldn't be able to have auto bagball because you want to be able to break rules that would get you immediately thrown out and ruin the game for your team...
why not just not sign up.. it would be easier for you

I think that is their point...They cant get you so its Trammel.
Re: taking away something players enjoyed?
so when i lock the doors to a castle or keep it is now trammel...
people are throwing the word trammel around without any regard for what they are actually saying
everyone knows the word 'trammel' is considered a derogatory term when applied to anything UO. So when you don't like something, instead of arguing any good point just say the word 'trammel' and now I have bashed it and made a great point!
Seriously, you are inside your house I cant directly interact with you! you are in trammel! wtf

Re: taking away something players enjoyed?
Sorry but that is a terrible argument. When most people talk about Trammel, they are talking about the ruleset that came along in trammel. When you are in your castle, you are still operating under the same ruleset as 1999 OSI. Many of the events operate under a completely separate ruleset that never existed.BlackFoot wrote:so when i lock the doors to a castle or keep it is now trammel...

I don't mind having some events as long as they don't go overboard but your argument was flawed.
Re: taking away something players enjoyed?
These events don't operate under a trammel rule set either. It is a flawed comparison from the beginning.
Trying to use Trammel, a derogatory word in any sense to t2a players to back up your argument is off the mark.

Re: taking away something players enjoyed?
Blackfoot the comparison of super restrictive ruleset Events and super restrictive Trammel ruleset as to who can attack who, what can happen when, and no fear of losing any of your stuff is very much ON the mark.
Re: taking away something players enjoyed?
Didn't bagball originate on OSI with players who did it without artificially restricted rulesets and simply using game mechanics?
