UO:R/AOS PvP
UO:R/AOS PvP
I was wondering who would win in a battle between UO:R, T2A and AOS templates.
I know there are power moves and a few spells new skills and stuff...
Is it possible to give individual characters the charactistics (like swing timers etc) and skills (necromancy etc) of the newer releases, and have an event to try to beat them with our T2A characters in a duel?
That would be so mean.
You'd need somebody to control the character/s for the event though. I certainly have no idea how to PvP in AOS...

[14:17] <UOSAPlayer4056> cr3w guild is a joke. Ran by staff members, multi client pking, this shards a joke and a half.

Re: UO:R/AOS PvP
With the release of Age of Shadows they introduced a new spell casting system. Faster casting & Faster Casting Recovery.
Pretty self-explanatory, I suppose.. Fast casting decreases the time it takes to cast spells. Fast recovery reduces the delay between casting each spell.
With 4/6 casting (the max before it was adjusted shortly after AoS launch) I can pretty much fireball/lightning spam you to death even with you healing.
AoS+ pvp is all about speed and hand-eye coordination. It is incredibly fast, and wasn't all that bad until the released SE (Samurai Edition) which totally screwed the entire balance when they started adding extremely high-modification items.
You could make a 'perfect' suit without even wearing the maximum amount of armor-enchantment.
Yeah im sure you are totally confused but for those who did play AoS and forward they know what im talking about.

Re: UO:R/AOS PvP
I want to kill UO:R lumberjacks and AOS necromancers.
Re: UO:R/AOS PvP
The equipment that Sandro is talking about really changed the game for mages. I have a hunting suit with 100% LRC (Lower Reagent Cost) so I dont need any regs, EVER! The suit doesn't have charges so you just wear it, plus with the insurance system if I die and get rezzed I automatically have regs for healing and recalling. Heck I can get right back into a pvp battle.
And you wonder why everyone is rich there?

Was there a time when they had necromancy, but no insurance or crazy magic items?
Re: UO:R/AOS PvP
I can't remember.

Yea, I briefly had a character with Chivalry on siege before I quit. There was no insurance, yet at least.Mens Rea wrote:Was there a time when they had necromancy, but no insurance or crazy magic items?
Re: UO:R/AOS PvP
I dug up a picture of me on OSI. I forgot about the spell channeling weapons. Man I'm debating on if I should go back, but I think they want like 1 mil for a small now.

No.Mens Rea wrote:Was there a time when they had necromancy, but no insurance or crazy magic items?
Matron, there was no item-insurance on siege perilous because it was a "hardcore" feature server. They disabled that option for Siege only.

Re: UO:R/AOS PvP
1v1 - AoS would win
Group fights - i'd take a group of UO:R heal mages any day.
Both eras were extremely fun until, like Sandro said, SE ruined the balance of AoS.
That having been said in my opinion UO:R is the best era of UO, hands down.
