what is a broker?

thinking about buying a house what is a broker? where do i hire one? how do i get one?

There is no trading gump for houses in this era, so house transfers are a matter of trust. A trusted broker like Blackfoot will broker the deal for both parties involved by taking the payment and ownership of the house then transferring each appropriately.

Beware though... guilds like $$$ try to play themselves off as trustworthy but I wouldn't trust them for brokering at all. I was in their guild a while back and I heard all kinds of shady stuff.

Yeah, the $$$ guild (particularly their leader Tabius) have been known to create "fake" copies of their characters, and then scam new players with their real characters and blame it on these "fake" copies, thus blaming the person looking for brokering. (Obviously the "fakes" are them) It's rather disguisting really.

I would ONLY broker through "blackfoot" in the "UOH" guild. He is the only 100% trustworthy broker there is. Just be sure he has his colored-blessed items and the correct guild-title and you can't go wrong.
