New australian player

Post by Lupos »

Hi all!

Just started in the shard today and trying to learn the ropes again. I'm more familiar with the UO:R/Hybrid style ruleset however t2a was the first Ultima Online CD I owned so I thought I'd give this ruleset another go. So here are my questions:

1. Do disguise kits work, if so do they have the requirement of 60 stealing + thieves guild, do the disguises wear off in 2 hours, if not, how do you remove the disguise
2. Are there skill and stat locks?
3. Are there any guilds around interested in helping a new player get a start?
4. Are there any Australian's on this shard?
5. Whats the roleplaying community like? I'd be interested in getting heaviliy involved in this.
6. Is most PvP with halberd tank mages?

Hail! and welcome to UOSecondage!!

I can answer a few of your questions, others will surely fill in the blanks

1. Do disguise kits work: Yes But to what extent I am not familiar

2. Are there skill and stat locks? Yes, Both locks exist but there is discussion in removing stat locks as they are not era accurate

3. Are there any guilds around interested in helping a new player get a start? Always a few guilds/players looking to help, My guild [$$$] Can get you started with some gear, or some housing Theograd of [$$$] Runs http://forum.uosecondage.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=17208 and Brules of [$$$] Runs http://forum.uosecondage.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=18231 both new player housing. Also Blackfoot of the [UoH] Guild is amaizingly helpful, and his guild [UoH] is always willing to help new players

4. Are there any Australian's on this shard? A few I believe, I only know of Tabius Personally, he is a Trusted player and [$$$]Original founder

5. Whats the roleplaying community like? I'd be interested in getting heaviliy involved in this. There are a few guilds always floating around the Bloodrock Urks are a major player, check them out on the forums

6. Is most PvP with halberd tank mages? Other options are available, but PvP Hally mages are most popular I think

Cheers and good luck!

I'd have to add, check out the Imortal Lords. They have a great leader and the guild is going in the right direction.

I'd just like to say, welcome to the shard, and Vince Grella is a pile of crap one of the worst footballers I've ever seen.

There are a few Aussies and Kiwis around on the shard. I know of at least 3 other Kiwis playing (I'm a kiwi) and have often ended up chatting with Aussies.

Nightshark you used to play on OceaniaX I remember you! You may recall I was the forum admin and later co-admin of the shard.

Will have to touch base with you sometime!
