i just make individual chars for crafting. i dedicate my 3rd account entirely to crafters, and other mule chars. i dont like macroing any crafting skills from below 50 honestly. there enough of a pain as it is from 50 to 100 skill. never really got into the house addons or anything so thats the other reason i usually take this route. with a gm alchy, smith, tinker, and carp (i have poisoning on one of my pvpers), i can make everything ill actually need to play the game.

For the record, i have a blacksmith with no mining and he has never ever failed smelting the items he makes. Granted I would not use him to smelt my ore, but it seems to be an instant success on smelting gorgets or whatever your making.

The best mule has field murder counts!!

lady son 7x gm:

carp
tink
smith
bow
mage
med
eval

she has 12000 fame, when she gets 15000 i will drop eval for tailor and retire her ass to the keep. As mentioned before, another char has mining/id/alc etc. All house addons on 1 char, cant fill al crafts in 1 mule. We got 3 accounts after all.

I saved Poisoning for a Dexer so he can apply DP in battle


And seperate chars for gathering resources and Inscription/Mage/Med

I'm building something similar except arms lore for mine, and I'll probably lock music at 50 and go with 50 item id.

(Mining/lumberjack on another char, who might become the bowcrafter if I get around to it.)

Im not sure in this case of smelting, isnt it more of a question how much ingots you get back from smelting an item ?
The higher your mining the more ingots you get back from smelting process. Thats what i remember... so not 100 % sure
Cant test it right now here at work...
