People Who Wine About Game Mechanics
Stop wining... if it was in T2A when i was playing at all hours of the night sleeping over at my friends house back when i was in pre highschool... I wanna see it here. No fixes or changes shoud be made if thats the way OSI intended it to be.... However that being said we also should note that things that OSI coined as a bug or exploit and/or banned or suspended account for using should be fixed. Lest we forget OSI was lazy and always waited for the later version of the game to fix bugs. We are not OSI we are creating the perfesct Era of second age. There for we should verily consider that OSI WOULD HAVE fixed the bug if they werent to cheap to pay theyre developers a bit of over time before the fixes. Alot of these guys work on a salary. Most of the time they would wank it or play cards at the office untill managment would come in and tell them about a new update the board proposed and there for would be working in overdrive. the point is this, things that that should have been fixed were fixed mostly in newer versions. Unless it directly affected direct mechanical playability, such as keys disapearing for pissing the wrong way or something. Nonetheless we dont want any KNOWN bugs present. Bugs that were coined or addressed. Things that werent addressed like the horse mounting to refresh it stuff is cool. Cause OSI was trying something different. At any rate, i will sfit through the forum pages and see what was meant for and not meant for. Yall have a good one. By the way did yall know OSI had/has contracted scriptors? just an FYI its neat to know.

I agree, we should be creating a "perfesct" representation of the era. Absolutely perfesct.Aaryen wrote:...creating the perfesct Era of second age.

It's still okay to show concern for mechanics if you believe they aren't accurate.
Soon there's gonna be quite a few changes to pvp for the better, mages will be more powerful and function differently but warriors will be able to recover from hits much faster with the new cycling so it's good for both in pvp.
And of course no one really complains about many of the mechanics besides pvp, UOSA has a very high % of pvmer/crafters/event running ect.
This shard isn't just about pvp, one thing to always realize. The more accurate the pvp, the better anyway. Who could argue? We know we all loved pvp in 1999, we're getting there!

Yes, a truly amazing restoration of T2A. I am enjoying it as much as I did when it first came out over a decade ago. But I follow that up with a whine/plead. Please hear me out:
The idea of some changes concern me. I know T2A is going for perfect emulation of the '98 original, but there are certain features that were not in the game (such as the stat locks) that should remain. After all, these are conveniences, and not the things that ruined the game. We have the introduction of Trammel and other stupid additions to thank for that.
Certain fixes, mechanic balances, and conveniences will remain, right? I'm all for putting it back together, but I was wondering if all the bugs and exploits are coming back as well.

We keep a selection of the t2a era bugs that don't hurt anyone but derrick is Extremely quick to fix the game breakers.

Like i said before, i dont think known bugs should be present even if origin waited to AOS to fix them. How ever we have to be sure to concretely discern if they are origin bugs and that will require some digging. I have been trying to reconnect with an old GM friend of mine from Origin. He would be a great asset to some of derricks questions. Unfortunately its been bad luck. I dont even know if he uses the same MSN name any more. We have to remember we are creating the "perfesct" Era of T2A and if that means fixing bugs that was fixed later, than so be it. Let us fix them. Perfection and mean things to different people. My unbiased but very accurate opinion is to take the initiative origin didn't take and do what they didn't do while emulating a massively successful Era of UO. Take for example. The dismount to refresh stamina on mounts. I dont care if it is a bug or not or its on purpose but i am only using this as an example because it seems to have some controversy. Horse runs out of stamina, hop off and say All Follow Me. Horse refreshed. Origin said it was a bug, but they fix it in AOS or what ever that gay version was they came out with. So they fix it than. Well than we should take the initiate to fix it our selves, it requires progressive actions and the reason for that is because we are NOT building towards AOS. Derrick your not coming out of the closet with some ok guys lets follow origin and insert the AOS factor. No thats not likely (I hope) So we have to veer towards a better future of T2A because this is the end of the line of the "Expansions" this is the expansion derrick has created. Now on the flip side. That stamina "trick" was implemented on purpose but changed in AOS because origin wanted to try something new. Well now that "Bug" concept becomes a "Feature"' So however you look at it does not matter. Its what was intended for the server game at that time. Also intentions to fix something should be looked at progressively. If something was flagged as an exploit but fixed in AOS or what ever the gay expansion was. It should be fixed now. Because we are not turning to a new Era of UO, we are staying put in this era. Now once again for the slower people who didnt understand me the first time. The horse "Featug" and yes featug is a mix of feature and bug because i dont know. is an example.
