I bought easily less than 50 trophies to aquire my sandals. I don't want "Gold". I don't want any other "item to compensate" I want my sandals, which when they were aquired I was told they would NOT break period, to remain unbreakable. You tools are really quite annoying, all you're doing is trolling and nothing more.

u guys all paid for a "Clothing Bless Deed". the name implies that this deed will bless your clothing, not make it indestructible. i dont understand why they were ever unbreakable? everyone seems to agree here (including the people not in favor of this change), that blessed gear was breakable on OSI. Why should it not be here? Based on other accuracy changes made here under similar circumstances, this shoudlnt even be debated.

MatronDeWinter wrote:"Big Chicken Statue" can be stolen, just like virtually every other silly rare. It's a question of "policy v. mechanical" accuracy...

I'm sure the staff never said "these items will remain unbreakable forever".

It is accurate that these items break.

It was even mentioned by Derrick, that if this ever happened, the durability would be reset on existing items.

Most things are not grandfathered.

The things that are do not have permanent effects on the server as these do potentially.
Are "Big Chicken Statues" era accurate? Please shut your mouth now. K thx kiddo... You also have reaped benefits from inaccurate things. Maybe you should delete that gold you made off the statue.

Thats great because our sandals were "given" to us by GM's for attending events and accumulating enough points to buy them, thats pretty much the same exact thing.

Yes, but your sandals are mechanically inaccurate. The giant cock is not.

Depends on how you look at it really. Our sandals and Masks were actually obtainable back in the T2A era. from OUR (not the GM's viewpoint) They were given special properites(unbreakable) because we took the time and effort in farming up the resources via attending Automated, Player ran Events, as well as farming for gold and buying said trophies to turn in. They were aquired "specially" just like the "Big cock statue". However, the "Big Cock Statue" was specially created, and as far as I know NEVER existed in the era. You can't justify your reasoning when you accept things such as that.

Clothing never broke. I think sandals broke for a period, but I can't quite remember. Other than that, only armor and weapons would break. Newbie/Blessed weapons can break. But not clothes. As far as headgear goes, I know newbie items you'd get like floppy hats, wizard hats and the like didn't break.

I think the general rule of thumb was that if the item didn't provide armor and wasn't a weapon, it was not subject to breaking. Though a cloak provides armor, and I can't recall one ever breaking.

Nope

Chicken statue has nothing to do with this. Re-read the title of the thread. Besides, I will gladly throw out all items (and money earned from the sale of them) if the everyone else does the same. I have absolutely no issue with losing valuable in-game items due to "era accuracy".

Clothing Bless Deed

* Selecting the clothing bless deed will place a deed in your backpack.
* The deed can be used on any article of clothing (such as tunics, boots, hats, etc.)
* After double-clicking the deed, target an article of clothing. Once targeted, the clothing will become blessed (meaning it cannot be stolen or looted).
* Blessed clothing can still take damage (from maces for example).
Which is why you would NEVER log out in an unsafe area with your blessed clothing on - because some cock'n'balls with a wand would come and end the life of your sandles.

Hell, I've got 3 pairs of them on this shard and I take them off when I'm fighting for any considerable period of time - just in case.
