Perhaps I missed something somewhere. Was just screwing around in Delucia inside the town with a frenzie named "B". Taming bulls, releasing them, and then saying "b kill" while targeting the bull.
He killed the bulls ok but afterwards was grey and was attacking me for very brief periods. After hiding for a few seconds and reappearing he had no qualms about following me in peace. I wasn't ever grey and there were no timers.
This has thrown me for a loop as I have never run into it before - I've got 10k+ leather that is mostly from bulls with the majority of em killed by pets I think. "B" didn't act this way over the weekend. Any input is welcome.

Interesting. Frenzied are aggressive, but they shouldn't usually attack their owner if tame. This can sometimes happen after taming, if they had been attacking you in the prior two minutes though.Jack Nickelson wrote:Perhaps I missed something somewhere. There is all sorts of nonsense that happens with freshly-tamed aggressive pets. I tried to figure out the "rules" of it and failed miserably. I'd suggest casting Invisibility or Hiding or running offscreen, for 2 minutes, after taming an aggressive animal. I've never had any problems with them when I've waited the full 2 minutes. It's when I get antsy and try to do things with them before then that I have issues.Derrick wrote: Interesting. Frenzied are aggressive, but they shouldn't usually attack their owner if tame. I'd consider this although I've been thinking of making a tailor for awhile and have not a good idea of leather prices. Between the leather along with wool and cotton and the spools of thread, I could GM a couple chars I'd think.
I really want to figure the frenzie issue out first and then perhaps we could maybe do a deal of some sorts.

This frenzie was not a freshly tamed one and has been ridden for at least a week or so - maybe more. I did in fact, replicate the same thing shortly afterwards of my initial post.
I do run into what you mention above while taming them in the Lost Lands but simply hide for a couple of minutes and then all is good, they follow ya, and one isn't grey anymore. I've got a couple tests I'm gonna do.

Since my last post I have a report of a wym attacking cats and dogs in town, and later getting guard whcked. This seems to be a recently intorduced bug. Looking into it now.

Very well. Leather goes at 3gps per at NPC vendors, you might be able to sell bulk at 3.5 or even 4 if someone is desperate.Jack Nickelson wrote:"Sorry, no idea...but if you want to sell your leather, I'm your huckleberry!!"

If you do decide to go the tailor route this thread can provide a guide. From the point I am at to GM, I'm still going to need about 18k leather.
Let me know what you decide.
