Looking for a new home.

Post by The Saint »

I'm wondering is this the shard for me?

I've grown tired of those shards where you end up being a pon in the admin's sandbox, or a shard where your toon gets stuck and there's never any staff members online to move you a single tile.

I have a few buddies that are also looking for a place to call home.

Other than that I think I'll make a toon and start the macro guide, I'm wondering/seeking anyone who'd be willing to take us in and help us get on our feet. What I mean by this is giving us a safe place, out of town, to macro.

Thanks

Hi The Saint,

The owner/admin here is a legend. Nothing short. Don't worry about being a "pawn" to the admin - this shard is only focused on recreating T2A UO up until November 23rd 1999 (with VERY few exceptions - but these are always being discussed).

The other staff are very reasonable too - I just wouldn't expect gifts and help looting houses etc.

Welcome my negro.

I believe there is new player housing available...if you really want I can set you up with a place to macro in.

The Trinsic Estates would be happy to provide a new home for you until you are fit to go out on your own, the town is located in Trinsic so it will be a safe haven for both you and any friends you wish to bring along, there are 5 available homes currently.

I've grown tired of those shards where you end up being a (pawn) in the admin's sandbox...Ive been on that shard, its not fun, and i've not seen any of that here.

or a shard where your toon gets stuck and there's never any staff members online to move you a single tile. I've been pleasantly surprised about the availablity of staff here but if they are not on there is a help stuck feature that you can use 2x a day.

I have a few buddies that are also looking for a place to call home. The more the merrier.

Other than that I think I'll make a toon and start the macro guide, I'm wondering/seeking anyone who'd be willing to take us in and help us get on our feet. What I mean by this is giving us a safe place, out of town, to macro.

Quite a few groups offering to house new players. Try searching for new player housing in these forums.

Thanks
Your welcome :D

Hey man -

This server is great. The admins are always around and willing to help. They also don't get in the way of the game. Great UO server.

I have a small next to my house thats secluded in the Trini jungles if you are interested. I can co-own/friend you and your boys to get things rolling. It's just sitting there. I will eventually use it, but for now... open to ya. I leave a guy on macroing in my house next to it, and in a week, I have only seen one person pass by in my journal - which is awesome for a macro spot.

Can also help you with the macro process... atleast from a pointers/tips perspective. Just went through the process of creating a bard, dexer, and tank mage.

Let me know!

Oh my goodness, you guys are truly awesome, not only so helpful but my inbox full of members willing to help.

I'm overwhelmed, I don't think I've ever visited a shard that was so welcoming and I've been on quite a few shards in my time.

This thread can be locked and closed or let to die as I've found more than enough help from the awesome community.

Thanks again for everyones help, I feel like this is going to be a great place to be.

Hello Saint, yes this shard is for you!

Be sure to do this if you haven't already:

Uncheck "use smart CPU usage reduction" because it's a bad option if your computer is okay running UO. It slows fast computers down

After unchecking that, restart UO and razor and it will run smoother.

This is the greatest free shard I have ever tried and I can warmly recommend it.

The staff is class. You can't buy ingame stuff for real money etc. This really feels like the Original OSI - They way it was.

We do have a lot of Jerks on the server who will grief you, but thats to be expected from a game like UO. No trammel here - survival of the fittest.

But, just like the old days - trust noone, most will have a hidden agenda ;)
