I am not really asking for hand-outs. I can pretty much sustain myself since i have started on many servers by myself. I would just need a mage or what not to assist me with a few marked runes and maybe a rune book?

This may not help much. But I've decided that Money .. and the making of money is a huge ... stupidly huge part of this game. So you're probably going to have to make a money maker. There's a pretty well priced vendor I found for runes/books right west of trinsic. Go across the second bridge and his hutch is on the right.
