PMs are sitting in Outbox

Not sure which forum to post this in, but sometimes PMs just sit in the Outbox instead of getting sent, and others get sent right away.

Right now I have two PMs in my Outbox that are six days old.

Is there some kind of trick to get them to send that I'm not aware of? (Or something that cause them to get stuck in the Outbox?)

It means they haven't been read yet. Once they are read they automatically move to sent.

Thanks. I thought they were hung up and not sent to the recipient.
