Is there a way to make ur mount go faster or is it a standard run speed for everyone?

Yes. The first thing you have to do is complete a quest for a magical fruit called "a magical fruit." This can be done by first killing two hundred and thirty eight mongbats. The last mongbat you kill will drop a map. This map is called "a mongbat map." When you decipher the map, it will turn you into a mongbat--complete with very little strength or skill (if you are Hemperor this may be an increase)--and you will be sent on a quest to slay an NPC named "A Mongbat Hunter." This creature has a weapon that does double damage to mongbats (including you). It also is able to cast Mana Drain and Feeblemind. If you slay this creature, you will be given a special seed. Plant the seed in a grassy area. In three thousand UO days (or 1 year real time), a tree will have grown up. This tree will at one point spawn a magical fruit. Feed this fruit to your horse and it will run slightly faster for ten seconds.
