No idea. I've "heard" of some of those type shards, but I do not see them being very popular or active as then everyone on that shard will be uber and the challenge is gone.

I remember back in the day there was no "set skill to X.X amount".. it was gate you had to find and enter to obtain the skill. Anyone remember the Abyss server(OSI Server)? I have to admit I had fun there.

Yeah, I remember The Abyss really well. A server like where it already has a high concentration of players from other servers would be really cool. In a freeshard format I just don't see it being very successful and lasting very long.
